Company Overview

In 2011, ‘a meeting’ of two college friends was the ball set to roll for what today is the Alchemist Business Group. ABG’s first business was readymade garments trading. With the belief of further growth and diversification, the business group entered into the Trading & Building Materials & Construction industry in 2012 with a small showroom of tiles & sanitary ware.

The process of becoming a conglomerate was initialised by our Chairman’s Import business named ‘Apt Trading’ which dealt with import of construction materials & float glass which was then included in the group. Later seeing successful growth in all business lines: ABG decided to expand its businesses to new markets. ‘Ceramic World’ is the tiles & sanitaryware business which now is one of the largest tiles and sanitary waresuppliers in Rajshahi. Banks, customers, employees & financial institutions eventually played vital roles for ABG to continue businesses successfully. Then ABG decided to add new products in its building materials & construction business lines for which the company ‘Alchemist Ventures Limited’ was formed.

Businesses continued with subsequent growth and then ‘Air Vision Travels & Tours’ which was established by our Chairman’s father in 2005 was included in ABG’s portfolio with the name ‘Travel Lounge Limited’. This is how ABG entered in the Travel & Tourism industry.

Directors of ABG saw a perpendicular growth in the restaurant industry. Then in 2017ABG entered into the food industry by forming the company ‘Alchemist Nourishments Limited’. ABG has its own restaurant brand named ‘Colino’s’ which currently have only one flagship outlet. Parallelly the company took sub-franchise from ‘Secret Recipe Bangladesh’ which also has only one outlet so far.

Currently, ABG have over 100 employees who are one of the best in the respective area.

Mr. Khan Mohammad Tahmid Rahman is a young entrepreneur& founder Chairman& Managing Director of the alchemist business group: who started his business career while he was an undergraduate student.
Mr. Rahmanhas a BBA in marketing from ‘North South University’.He has an extensive range of experience including acquisitions and new business, company/business turnaround, general management of companies at all levels. He is the Managing Director of ‘Alchemist Ventures Limited’, Chairman of ‘Alchemist Nourishments Limited’,Managing Partner of‘Ceramic World’, Proprietor of ‘Apt Trading’ & Director of ‘Travel Lounge Limited’. He is currently a member of Bangladesh Glass Merchants Association, Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Tiles & Mosaic Association of Rajshahi.
Mr.Khan Mohammad Towhid Rahman another visionary entrepreneur of the business group: with immense experience in the airline industry. He is an MBA in Marketing.
He currently worksat Regent Airways. Mr. Rahman has 10 years’ experience in the airline & Travel/Tourism industry. He is the Managing Director of ‘Alchemist Nourishments Limited’ & Director of ‘Travel Lounge Limited’
Mr. Mahmudul Islam is signified as the ‘operational right hand’ of the business group: who started his professional career at the business groupimmediately after he obtained the BBA in Accounting from the University Of Information Technology & Sciences. He is the Director of ‘Alchemist Ventures Limited’, Director of ‘Alchemist Nourishments Limited’ &Partner of‘Ceramic World’. He is currently a member of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Tiles & Mosaic Association of Rajshahi.

ABG’s directors had been supporting children even before the advent of the group. It makes a great difference in their futures, and therefore we focus on children in our Social Responsibility projects. We know them closely, we see their needs, and we care about them. We expanded from 400sft showroom to 1850sft showroom in the Munshidanga region: This in fact is the heart of tiles market in Rajshahi.This shifting made us one of the prominent players in the tiles, sanitary ware and fittings sector of Rajshahi.
